I just received my double edge FURminator deShedding tool today. I used it on my beagle, who doesn't normally like to be combed or brushed. She sat absolutely still and didn't mind it a bit, and I was amazed at the amount of hair that I removed. It is gentle and very effective. So I moved on to my long-haired cat, who loves to be brushed. He loved the FURminator, and it did an awesome job on his coat also. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it for anyone who, like me, feels that cat and dog hair is the bane of their household chores.

I am constantly vacuuming floors and chairs from my long haired Dachshund and long haired cat. I felt like I was eating pet hair all time! Two days ago I received my Furminator and went directly to work.. I have been amazed by the hair Ive gotten off the cat. Every hair I brush off is one I don't have to vacuum up! I am still brushing and figure I have a few days to go before completion. She will only allow so much at one time. The same with the dachshund, she really doesn't like to be brushed with anything so I just make her be still. I am really pleased with the Furminator and think you will be too!!pppp

this "brush" is all it claims to be-just shreds the fur off without pain to the dog or cat. I've been telling anyone who will listen how good it is.

Saw this advertised on TV and it looked good. It is supposed to remove dead coat hair,particularly the dead undercoat. When I tried it on one of my three cats, it pulled out the outer coat without doing anything to undercoat. Cat was very unhappy, complained loudly and left the area. Obviously that was not dead coat hair. I sent both items back immediately. Did not open the heavy duty one since the small one hurt the short haired cat. I also have a long hair who would have attacked me if I had tried to use it on his coat.

I have a Ragdoll cat with medium to long hair and even with frequent grooming he still shed quite a bit. After reading the reviews on the single edge tool I thought the double edge would be twice as good. This ia a well made professional product not a piece of plastic junk. I could not believe the amount of hair that came off...could have filled a throw pillow. If you're undecided, go for it. You won't be disappointed.
