This tool works great when used according to directions. It is not a miracle tool, but it does thin out the undercoat. I use it just on my Golden Retriever's back where the fur is the thickest and still use my other brushes and combs to work through other parts, especially the sensitive areas. Use strictly on a dry, clean, unmatted coat, paying attention to not overdo in any particular spot. You will find that this does cut down on the shedding and make it more comfortable for your dog during the warm summer months.

This shedding tool works and works and works. I cannot seem to get down to the end of the shedding. You could fill a pillow with dog hair (if you wanted to). It is way better than any brush I have used. Other retail outlets sell the same thing for 3 x the price ( I know because I bought one for that much) and it is the same thing. Do your dog a favor, not to mention the person who vacuums your house!

I was skeptical because there weren't any rabbit reviews. There aren't many products out there for a shedding rabbit: slicker brush which can be harsh to their delicate skin, and mitts that didn't work at all, and regular brushes which were really ineffective. First I tried this product, when I received it, on my non-shedding rabbit and it barely removed anything! I was let down and resolved myself to thinking it's just for dogs/cats. Then I took it out again when he started his massive shed and I'm getting cups worth of fur and undercoat every couple days! Talk about having a neater house. And we all know about rabbit fur it is so fine, silky and light it flies absolutely everywhere. It will still be a mess to use this but at least most of the fur will go to the garbage can versus covering your home. Grab a lint roller! Use it more gently and slower than the videos show on here and be careful around the rabbit's face and delicate spine. My rabbit liked this product more than the slicker brush which I believe caused some pain. Finally a good solution!
This product is so much cheaper on here. In the 'pet store' it's over double what I paid here on Amazon. Thank you for the deal. I added 2 pictures of my rabbit and the fur removed. I hope rabbit owners consider this and I am sure it works wonders with dogs and cats too. Every pet owner should give it a try.

I tried the furminator the day it came in the mail and it really does work. The only thing I recommend is that you don't over do it the first couple of times, as we made Sadie pretty tender when we first got it.Filled a grocery bag full of hair. It works!!
